Here is a video walk-through of the event as well!
Christina and Steven were such a blessing to serve. They are both so much fun and full of joy and excitement. The wedding took place at the Texas Discovery Gardens and the day was such a testament to the families that joined together.
Christina and her bridesmaids got ready on site of the gardens at the Centennial House with the team from Artistry by Dana Dixon.
Christina was on the fence for some time about her dress selection, when the decision was made to transform her mother’s wedding gown into her dream dress. The dress was completely altered by the amazing team at Altered for the Alter Dallas! It was Christina and her mother’s vision to create something new from a family heirloom.
The ceremony took place in the Grand Allee Garden with the fountain as the backdrop. Christina walked down the aisle to a very traditional string version of the bridal chorus played by Serenata Strings. The officiant was Christina’s brother who created a service that had the couple laughing and having a few sentimental tears. It was a truly beautiful moment.
The cocktail hour was on the circular lawn, where guests enjoyed a trio of jazz musicians from Downtown Fever Band, as well as cocktails and canapes from Two Sister’s Catering.
John Cain Photography honored the couple with a selection of meaningful and intentional photographs taken in the gardens. These moments were perfectly captured Christina’s playful spirit and their beauty as a couple.
Guests enjoyed a reception meal from Two Sister’s Catering with cake from the Dallas legendary bakery Panini. Then danced all night to Downtown Fever Band! Our Floral and Design Team at Mayfield Events floral created a stunning, but classic reception feel with florals in soft pastels.
My favorite choice that the couple made was to have as ecologically friendly as possible wedding. So in the final hour of the dancing, the Mayfield Events Floral and Design Teams took each centerpiece apart and created a bloom bar, making custom bouquets for guests to take as favors to family and friends, or just enjoy at the breakfast table after the wedding.
What an fantastic night!
Our design team worked to sketch this event and create something truly in alignment with who they are as a couple and family! What a gift to serve them!
