Carson & JT

If you have ever had the opportunity to meet the lovely Carson Ford you will know what I mean when I say that being around her just automatically makes you smile. She has an amazing presence that is both fun and calm at the same time! That is why when Carson’s mom reached out to me about helping serve her daughter for her wedding day– I was over the moon happy.

I had the opportunity to serve Carson and her family in the past when I did Carson’s close friend’s (and cousin’s) wedding a few years prior. (shout out to Laura!)

One of the first conversations Carson, her mom, and I had in the planning process was about the guest list. Carson and JT both were blessed with large groups of friends and family that were very supportive. They could easily throw a wedding with a guest list of over 300. While they loved their support system, they also knew that a large wedding was not what they desired.

The result was PERFECTION! They opted to throw a large and fun engagement party about a month before their actual wedding day, and then only invite a small group of people to their wedding day. The final guest count for the wedding day was 40 people.

Carson loves nature and plants, so finding a location that could serve her guest count and still have an outside feel was very important. Clark Gardens was the perfect location for this wedding. The series of gardens are stunning, each with their own unique water features, and a special bonus was the large house on-site that could be rented for the weekend. This made the getting ready experience easy and at the end of the night, the bride and groom had a beautiful space to welcome them. Carson’s flowers were full of white blooms and greenery from Mayfield Events Floral

One of my absolute favorite parts of the wedding day is when the bride and her mom get the chance to come and see the ceremony and reception sites without any guests present. I think it sets everyone at ease and builds excitement for the day to come. I am so grateful that her photographer, Julia M. Photography was able to capture this moment.

Carson and JT opted for a first look, as well as a really special wedding day timeline. Carson’s dress was absolute perfection! Procured from A&Be Bridal in Dallas, the designer is, Anais Annette.

Because the wedding was in the summer, we knew that having an outside ceremony would be warm. So, rather than have a traditional ceremony first wedding. Carson and JT attended their own cocktail hour, greeting and hugging guests upon their arrival. Later, Carson’s father invited the guests to be seated at a large table where all 40 guests could talk and see each other. The meal was served station-style by Cherry on Top Catering. At the end of the meal, guests were invited into the garden to the wedding ceremony.

As guests were seated the wedding party lined up, and Carson and her dad patiently waited for the exact moment in Ed Sheeran and Beyonce’s version of Perfect. Watching Carson walk down the aisle as the sunset and Beyonce sang… I will admit, I cried. It was truly perfect!

After the ceremony ended, guests followed Carson and JT to the dance floor where DJ Dan Reynold’s from LeForce Entertainment started the first dance.

One of the highlights of the night was the make your own cookie sandwich bar from Alex Meek Cake Artist! YUM!

It was such a gift to our team to serve Carson and JT! We wish you many many years of happiness!
